Delete your Voxden account

Last updated 6 October 2026

This page is for Voxden, the dictation app for Android, Windows and Mac made by Sounak. Deleting your account happens inside the app, takes effect at once, and removes what the account service holds about you.

Delete your account in the app

On Android

  1. Open Voxden.
  2. Tap the person icon at the top right.
  3. Tap Delete account at the bottom and confirm.

On Windows and Mac

  1. Open Voxden and go to Settings.
  2. Choose Delete account and confirm.

If you cannot sign in

Voxden signs in with a code sent to your email address, so you can sign in again on any phone or computer with the same address and delete the account from there. Install Voxden again first if you removed it. If you can no longer reach that email address, open an issue at github.com/sounak1125/voxden/issues and say so, without putting personal details in it.

What is deleted

  • Your account: your email address, your name, and your profile picture if you signed in with Google.
  • Your plan and your subscription records.
  • Your sign-in sessions on every device, and any sign-in codes not yet used.
  • The record of how much Voxden Cloud you have used.

Your subscription

A Pro subscription is cancelled first, so you are not charged again. If it cannot be cancelled, nothing is deleted and you are told. A subscription bought through Google Play is cancelled with Google Play for you, and you can also manage it in Google Play. Voxden never holds your card details.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Feedback you sent: it stays, but it is no longer linked to your account.
  • Recovery backups: copies of the account database are kept on a rolling basis for recovery. A deleted account is gone from all of them within 30 days.
  • Server logs: routine logs record events such as sign-ins and billing changes with the email address. They are not edited when an account is deleted, and there is no automatic deletion date for them yet.
  • Payment records: Google Play and Razorpay keep their own records of payments under their own rules. Voxden does not control them.
  • On your device: your dictation history, personal dictionary and settings never reach Voxden’s servers, so deleting the account does not remove them. Uninstall Voxden or clear its storage to remove them.

More on what Voxden keeps is in the privacy policy.
